The Lanes is a home away from home. The complex is a modern building with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an amazing view overlooking Union Market. My room is a great size (about 300 square feet) in a three-bedroom, two-bath apartment, and the bed frame comfortably fits a queen or full-size bed. There is a 24-hour laundry room downstairs that gets the job done, which is super convenient. The rooftop is truly breathtaking, especially if you value views. You can see the entire landscape of Florida Avenue, which is aesthetically pleasing particularly at night. Most importantly, the management office is extremely attentive to tenants’ needs and always available when a situation needs attention. They have a super friendly personality and are always ready to help, which really makes a difference in the overall living experience.

I have lived here for a couple of years. It is convenient and secure in terms of location and neighborhood. Like any apartment, management changes can create a lot of different experiences. My experience withe management has been okay. Nena Payne has been incredibly helpful through all my engagement with management. She does care about residents and the experiences we have. I think her approach towards how we dwell in the space/ apartment makes all the difference. I actually am still living in the building because she has tried (in good faith) to help meet my needs in terms of what I want my apartment to have and services that should be provided.
